Shires Model A Trumpet

The Model A is an Amazing trumpet by our friends at shires providing a brilliant singing tone that is quite versatile for a variety of musical situations. It projects nicely and is well centered and responsive. This horn would be a fantastic option for a player looking to upgrade heir sound with versatility in mind! 

This particular instrument is pre owned and does present some minor signs of use. There is some minor scratching in the plate and the 3rd valve slide stop screw is missing. A dent in the bell bow has been expertly repaired by our friends at heritage music. This horn otherwise looks great, plays great, and sounds great! Take it home today!

• W Tuning Slide: dual-radius bend, standard water key—strong core, brilliance, and presence of sound

• Piston Material: hand-lapped Monel

• Valve Cluster: two-piece casings, standard weight, with nickel-silver balusters

• Lower Valve Caps: nickel silver

• Bell Engraving: S.E. Shires makers mark, model designation, and traditional floral pattern
