This horn is in great shape still but does present a few signs of use. There is some light scratching in the silver plate and a very slight flat spot on the 3rd valve slide.
Beyond that it is great shape and plays fantastically! The versatility in this horn is something to behold and so much fun to play. Take it home with you today!

The Model 7A cornet delivers exceptional depth, clarity, and nuance through refined Shires acoustical design and handcrafted detail. Equally at home in brass band, solo, and ensemble settings, the 7A offers discerning players a richly expressive, performance-driven cornet with unmistakable Shires character.
The S.E. Shires Model 7A Cornet in B♭has quickly become a widely respected cornet for orchestral and brass band players alike. It produces a brilliant, singing tone with marvelous projection and easy, centered response in all registers. The centered "A" bell taper produces a focused sound and facilitates projection. The C1 leadpipe provides an ideal combination of stability and flexibility, and the free-blowing character compliments the centered bell taper. Yellow-brass balusters and valve caps contribute to the warmth of the sound, increase the core, and facilitate seamless articulation. This cornet makes a great choice as an all around instrument for performance in a wide variety of musical settings.
