Description

The F1 is a traditional "Couesnon"-style flugelhorn, but with the modern playability of an Adams flugelhorn. This is one of the most popular flugelhorns in our shop! It has a red brass bell with a nickel flare and a 6.2" bell diameter. This is a ML bore flugel, and the valves are amazing (as they are on every Adams instrument!). It comes with an Adams flugelhorn bag (made by Gard Bags) which offers excellent protection.

Here's a video of Trent playing some Bach on an Adams F1 (with the "antique" lacquer custom option):

Adams F1 - It just does what I tell it to do

Posted by Caleb Niehoff on 19th Jan 2024

Absolutely fantastic instrument! Despite being pretty lightweight, it has the gorgeous, dark sound of a much heavier horn. Combined with some of the quickest, smoothest valves I've played, this horn is very nimble and remarkably easy to play. Intonation is also great, I find myself not needing to use a lot of the alternate fingerings I'm used to with other flugelhorns. Build quality and ergonomics are also superb, and the finish is gorgeous. Adams must have really taken their time designing every detail of this horn, and it shows. ACB also offers some of the best service in the business. They're super friendly and knowledgeable, and Trent and Laura took great care of me through the entire process of purchasing the horn.

ADAMS F1 SELECTED SERIES FLUGELHORN IN SATIN LACQUER

Posted by Gary W Leming on 22nd Oct 2021

I have wanted this horn since I played one at the 2018 ITG in San Antonio. Great sound, great intonation, great valves, easy to play and comfortable to hold. Hands down, the best flugel I've ever played!
