Product Description
York "Trumpet Model" Cornet
Doing a little pre-holiday cleaning here at the shop, we found some cool vintage instruments that need new homes! This is one of them. This is a York "Trumpet Model" Cornet and it is a fine playing horn especially considering its from the late 1930s (its serial number places it around 1938/39)! The silver plate is still intact and could just use a bit of a polish.
The 1st valve slide on the left side of this horn is stuck however the rest move freely and the valves move smoothly as well. They would benefit from a generally thicker oil such as ultra pure classic or Berp Bio oil #3. There does appear to be a bit of red rot in the leadpipe and a few minor tooling marks in the leadpipe near the main tuning slide. Others its a great little vintage horn that needs a new home. Bring it into yours today!
