Description
The Eastman EBB622 is a professional-level 4/4 BBb tuba built around a .687"-.728" (17.5 mm-18.5 mm) bore and four front-action piston valves, designed to deliver a clear, centered core with a broad, traditional BBb foundation. With a 19.75" (502 mm) yellow brass bell and clear lacquer finish, it is commonly associated with a York-style sound concept and includes practical essentials for daily ownership, including an ABS case, mouthpiece, and an Ultra-Pure maintenance kit.
EBB622 - 4/4 BBb, graduated bore, ergonomically improved with valve cluster closer to the player's body
A graduated bore is simply a bore that gets larger through the piston or rotor block. Graduated bores allow players to use air more efficiently as the bore of the piston or rotor aligns with the tubing coming out of the casing - so air is not wasted or choked off. This also results in better response, smoother passages, and secure intonation across the entire range of the horn.
