We have another amazing Olds here at the shop! This is a Mendez model, and boy can it play!
This horn has a nice crisp and clean sound to it. It has a 1st slide trigger and 3rd slide trigger.
The valve block, and other elements including the bracing add to the look of this awesome horn.
We tend not to see a lot of these in this good of condition, so be sure to pick it up quickly!
There are a few small pings on the bell bend and one small ping on the front part of the bend near the engraving. It looks absolutely beautiful otherwise. This horn was restored at some point however it is unknown by who.
This horn plays well it would definitely benefit from a thicker oil such as BERP Bio Oil heavy or Ultrapure Classic
We love the crispness of this horn!
The serial number places this horn around 1971.
