Description
This is a rare beauty indeed!
Built for the seller in 2005 this one is very hard for them to part with but they are downsizing their collection.
This was one of the first Prana Flumpets built and this horn shows very little signs of wear. No dents and just a few TINY dings even too hard to photograph. The gold plate still looks fantastic even! Monette is no longer plating horns currently in gold due to the high cost of Gold plate ($4500+ an ounce) so this is a true treasure.
The one Mouthpiece that comes with this horn is very fun. It's a MF III D. Not your typical flumpet cupped mouthpiece. The result is a very cool sound, in between trumpet/cornet/flugelhorn. It's my belief that the flumpet is Dave's finest instrument and perfectly captures the essence of the Monette sound.
