The TR-620L is an entry level professional trumpet in lacquer. Its gold brass bell, leadpipe, and tuning slide add a rich warmth to the sound.
The TR-620L has excellent mechanical quality. The professional level valve block is one of the best available, with industry-standard Monel valves and fast, smooth valve action. Excellent slide alignment makes adjusting intonation fast and easy. The fixed position 3rd valve slide ring and 1st valve slide saddle are very comfortable in the hand. A stop screw on the 3rd valve slide keeps it from falling off accidentally.
It’s a great looking trumpet as well! The lacquer shows off the three-tone color scheme of the metals (gold brass, yellow brass, and nickel silver). The single tuning slide brace has a distinctive elegance. The faceted valve caps are another great design element (they also make it easier to remove the caps than with round cap designs).
A genuine Schagerl mouthpiece and trekking case are included.
The Schagerl Academica TR-620L is an excellent value. The price makes it a great choice for the advancing student, but the quality can bring years of enjoyment with proper care.
