The A4 is one of the most popular models in the Adams trumpet line, and for good reason! This trumpet is great in many different musical environments due to the wonderful coloring and richness of the sound. It's an ideal choice for the soloist looking for an extremely rich, warm, fluid, and thick sounding horn.

One of the heavier models from Adams, the A4 features a lighter-gauge 5.5-inch one-piece bell and a heavy chassis (valve block, bracings, etc.). The weight of the horn helps center the sound and adds an incredible depth, while the lighter bell gives you excellent responsiveness missing from some other heavy trumpet models. The larger bell diameter and the shape of the bell flare give you great sound dispersion in front of the horn and great feedback as a player. The note slotting has a great balance between security and flexibility.

Another big reason many players love the A4 is its versatility! You can really dial in your sound concept through your mouthpiece choice, and of course through customizing the instrument itself. Check out the descriptions and videos below to get an idea of some of the many possibilities!
