Adams Brass makes some of the finest trombones on the planet! Handmade in the Netherlands these instruments are some of the most rewarding trombones to play. Many American trombonists may not know about Adams trombones (yet) but we are confidant you will be happy to become familiar with them. Adams is world renowned for their percussion and has rapidly built a great brass reputation with their flugelhorns, euphoniums, and trumpets. Their trombones are right in line with all of those other instruments! Played throughout Europe, including by the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra trombone section, Adams trombones provide a beautiful full, rich, and singing sound and have great clarity in projection and tone in all registers and dynamics.

Adams Trombones offer the ability for the musician to custom fit the horn to their sound. Austin Custom Brass is lucky enough to have several custom horns put together in different configurations available for you to try in our Kansas City location or to purchase. Each one has it's own unique personality which offers the opportunity for a musician to be expressive and individual for solo works while still being able to play in a section.

This trombone, which features both a Gold Brass bell and main tuning slide, is a true joy to play! Our low brass specialist really likes this set up because it reminds him of a classic Elkhart Conn Trombone in response, feedback, and sound but with more modern trombone qualities. The sound has similar depth and tonal quality to the Elkhart Conn 8H/88H. The most noticeable, and pleasantly so, difference is in the middle and lower register. Where the Elkhart 8H/88H can get a little stuffy in the meaty register the Adams stays warm and full with clear projection. The Adams will blend in a section very well, perhaps better than the classic Conn. However, much like the classic 8H/88H sound, the Adams has a wonderful ring and singing quality to the sound in the 5th partial and above.  This is a beautiful horn for the soloist and section player alike! Watch the video below to hear direct comparison of the Adams to a classic Elkhart-era Conn 8H.
