Vintage Olds Super Bb Cornet in Raw Brass: Cool Vintage Horn!

Check out this vintage Olds cornet! 

These are great playing and sounding horns - these Olds Super horns are quite popular among vintage horn players and were one of the most popular horns of their time. This particular horn is in good shape. It has a nice patina courtesy of the raw brass. There are a few minor cosmetic issues with this horn, particularly some light scratching around it with a few deep scratches by the receiver and on the 3rd slide nickel trim. There is some oxidation on the 3rd valve slide ring and a few small pings on the leadpipe by the pinky loop and bell stem by the leadpipe brace. None of these small imperfections affect the playability of this horn! Valve action and compression is still great! It still has many years of playing ahead of it though! Valves are best with a thicker oil like Berp Bio #3. 

 Quick valves that play well with thicker oils, valves are a bit noisy due to the metal valve guides.
