 What a work of art! This instrument was beautifully hand engraved. This particular one features a tuning slide with a valve that can change the instrument between the keys of Bb and A. The plating is in decent shape overall, with some standard wear for an instrument of this age (see pictures). There are some bracings that have been resoldered in the past, where not all of the solder was cleaned up properly. It is in need of a valve rebuild, but does play well with thicker valve oil. There are no dents, dings, patches, or redrot, which is a rare sight for such an old instrument! We like to call instruments like this 'playable works of art'!
