Pre-Owned Gen 3X Edwards Modular C Trumpet in Brushed Gold Plate!

Check out this super cool Edwards' modular trumpet! Edwards' modular trumpet design features modular leadpipes that slide into a tube and screw in place. The leadpipe design allows for more efficient leadpipe changes and perfect alignment from the end of the leadpipe to the beginning of the tuning slide tube. The leadpipe also has an improved taper that works with the bell mandrel to give the player a free feeling without compromising the sound. In the Fall of 2000, Edwards introduced the Generation III and X Bb/C Trumpets. Still sticking with the interchangeable system, these instruments were designed to create an extremely stable, rich tone. The Generation X models offered all the flexibility of the Generation II and III models but gave a new look to the ovate and heavy craze that was sweeping the trumpet world.

Generation 3: This template features an ovate tuning slide. Slotting is very smooth and the instrument can feel more open than a trumpet with one with traditional tuning slide crook. Bb models can be purchased in a medium-large or large bore, and C trumpets are only available with a large bore valve section. Generation 3X: These instruments are identical in construction to the Generation 3, but standard post bracing is replaced with heavyweight sheet metal bracing at the tuning slide, bell, and leadpipe. It is identical to Getzen’s Genesis model, but also offers Edwards’ interchangeable bell system. This horn feature a gorgeous C2 21 Bell: The C2 has a medium large throat and a standard 4 7/8 inch flare. The sound of this bell is more direct and brilliant than the C3, similar to a Bach 229 bell. The D5 leadpipe plays great on this horn! D5: Edwards’ most open pipe with a venturi .354 inches. This pipe is very free blowing.
