Selmer 24A Balanced Action Trumpet in Great Shape!

We're so excited to have this trumpet available at the shop, although it won't be here long!

This is a Selmer Paris 24A balanced action trumpet made in 1951. It has some lacquer wear (bell bend, inside of bell) and spot of acid bleed on the 3rd valve casing. The horn has great valve compression! It does show some red rot on the tuning slide crook, and it has a ding on the bell tail knuckle. The lacquer has an amazingly rich vintage look, and the trumpet itself has so much style!

The bell has beautifully clear engraving, and a garland around the edge of the bell. The underslung third valve slide ring also sets this horn apart from a typical modern setup. The nickel silver leadpipe won't develop redrot.

The original case and mouthpiece are included as well, making this the total package for the vintage trumpet enthusiast. 

The 24A is a great balanced action trumpet, which I actually prefer to the 19A (Louis Armstrong) and 23A (Harry James) models. The 24A has a medium-large .456 bore and the playability is fairly similar to more modern instruments.
