This 38A is a great cornet if you are looking for a darker tone! It features a Coprion bell (copper) and a 1st slide trigger. This is an extra large bore horn (.485"!) so it has a nice and open blow to it. It holds the same features of the other Connstellation models, inluding a nickel plated body, point-to-point bracing, and Tri-C valves.

It is an older horn, and as such it does not have perfect compression or complection. It plays well with Berp #3 (heavier) oil! The nickel plating and lacquer has scratches throughout the instrument. There are dings on the 1st slide crook, bell throat, and leadpipe. There is also a dent on the bell tail. Overall, it is in pretty good shape for an 80 year old instrument!

A great addition for a Conn enthusiast, or someone who is looking for a dark and open cornet!
