Description
This trumpet model was built for the jobbing musician. It is made for a musician like myself (Kyle Lambert, KCTC owner). I often find myself playing at weddings and corporate events, playing top 40 and such. I needed something that could do that, but could also play a small group cocktail hour on the same gig. This is why this trumpet exists, for the working musician. It is modeled after the sound of players that I look up to, like the great Jerry Hey.
SPECIFICATIONS:
1 Leadpipe - a well rounded leadpipe that is more suited towards commercial work. It has just enough to give the player some resistance to push against, but it won't back up on you.
YS Bell - This bell is more suited towards commercial work, but can warm up a bit for small group settings. It features a 5.25" flare, a french bead, and is made of yellow brass. It is a once piece, side-seam bell.
Bronze Tuning Slide - This unbraced bronze tuning slide provides some warmth to the sound. It balances well with the YS bell!
Nickel Silver Z Braces - Our Z braces are made of 1 piece cast nickel silver, with a wide footprint, paying homage to makers like Calicchio and Benge. They provide great stability, and the nickel give the horn a bit more precision in terms of the attack
MAW Valveblock - Wonderfully handcrafted in Germany, the MAW valve block is in general a bit more open than a standard valve set. The notes feel much more connected, more like a rotary instrument.
Finish - We call this finish 'gasoline' because of its resemblance to gasoline in a puddle of water. It is a brushed raw brass that is then chemically patina'd.
No case or mouthpiece included.
No coupons can be used on this instrument. Thank you for understanding!
