This Conn Vintage One Flugelhorn is absolutely stunning, both visually and tonally! After playing this horn for a little bit I can say it is a great one. The intonation is excellent, every note slots very well and it for a flugelhorn it feels very good above the staff.

It has a brighter and more compact sound than you would typically expect out of a flugelhorn, and I think that would make it great for playing in a big band! The 3rd slide trigger has a thick wooden handle which I find very comfortable to hold and operate, and it also adds a wonderfully striking aesthetic element. The Monel pistons feel lightning quick and the compression is outstanding. 

This horn is in phenomenal condition. The previous owner took very good care of it and thus the only imperfections are some incredibly minor surface scratches. Valve action is fantastic on this instrument and the slides move smoothly. The case is also in great condition, with similarly minor nicks and scratches.
