Austin Custom Brass Standard Series Trombone Mouthpieces

ACB Trombone mouthpieces are designed and made here in the US with the highest standards of manufacturing possible. Get AHEAD of the class with an Austin Custom Brass Trombone Mouthpiece! Our new designs were overseen by Trent and Chris "Dr Tbone" White!

We have simplified our old line and will be offering models adapted for the modern trombonist. For the most part, the small shank series are for people looking for jazz and commercial oriented mouthpieces (The only crossovers are the ACB 5, ACB 5.1, and ACB 6, as those are sometimes used on smaller horns for classical settings). The large shank models are designed for classical and bass bone applications. They would also make good euphonium mouthpieces!

    ACB 5S trombone mouthpiece

Posted by William R Bennett on 19th Jul 2022

had 2 weeks. getting adjusted to the mouthpiece. Getting a little fuller, deeper sound which is what I am looking for. Working on the higher range with this size. I use in in a community concert band, 3rd bone. I also hope to use it in a 15 pc college sponsered Jazzband for lead and solo. Hence, I am working on upper register for endurance and lead playing.

    Great Mouthpieces!

I recently purchased a tenor (5) and a bass (3) mouthpiece from ACB, and they are great for my needs as a trombonist. The tenor mouthpiece has a nice, flat rim that allows for good endurance without sacrificing articulation. The bass mouthpiece has enough mass to allow for fat pedal notes without sacrificing sound quality in the upper register. Thanks for a great experience and quality equipment!

    Trombone Mouthpieces

Posted by Brent Mead on 30th Oct 2019

I went to ACB to look at the Adams trombones but was happy to find out that Trent makes mouthpieces for trombones. I'm not a huge equipment junkie, but was pleasantly surprised at how easy these mouthpieces were to play. I've used the same setup for over 2 years, but have been trying new mouthpieces through those two years. Trent's mouthpieces he designed with Dr. Christ White are focused, have a great attack, and sound great. I found my sound became more energized, yet less direct. The articulations were the best improvement - it was easier to move around the horn and the notes came out with ease. The only negative is that the shanks seem to be a little small so my tuning slide was pushed in more than usual. After getting an ACB mouthpiece for both my alto and tenor, my colleagues in the Wichita Symphony noted the differences. I've happily converted to ACB mouthpieces.
