The F.E. Olds and Son Company was established in 1912. This horn according to the serial number dates back to the Mid 1920s. A true centennial!!

The condition of this instrument is unusually good. The craftsmanship is amazing. It plays very well. It is not as open at the top like you would expect from many modern instruments but the intonation of the instrument is superb. 

The sound is very lively with great energy in the high register and full and strong in the lower register. This has the overall temperament of a lead trombone in a jazz band (especially of the early jazz era). Amazing horn for a collector or someone looking for a unique and gorgeous trombone to play!
