Super Rare Vintage 1933 Selmer Paris Balanced "Louis Armstrong" Model Trumpet in Silver Plate!
SelmerWhat a rare treat from Trent's personal collection! This gorgeous Selmer Balanced trumpet has "L. Armstrong" engraved on the bottom of the 2nd valve casing. It was built in 1933! The silver plate is in wonderful condition, save for some minor scratching, solder, and a few stray spots of bare brass. Is does have 2 patches (on the leadpipe and bell tail) and it is in need of a valve rebuild. The tuning slide stop rod is missing, and the leadpipe has been rotated at one point (which hides most of the model specifics). What we can see of the model specifics tell us that the horn is in Bb, has a medium bore, and is low pitched. There are a few dings on the leadpipe and one on the bell throat. The leadpipe is also showing some signs of red rot. We have never seen a model like this before, it would make a great collector's piece!
