Description

This one is a very special Trumpet from T's quiver!

pxl-20260512-134054590.jpeg

This is a Besson Brevete about 100 digits off from T's only Bb Trumpet he'd NEVER sell (note the horn below isn't the one we're selling here... more on that below)

This particular trumpet is truly magic in terms of the sound it produces!   There's a reason most manufacturers (like Bach, Calicchio, and Benge)  copied the tried and true design of the Besson trumpet!  This horn has a sparkling sound and projection unlike any modern instrument.     The valves have been replated at some point in the horn's  life (see pics) and the horn has very, very, good compression (MUCH better than the Besson Trent is keeping).   The slides all work great.  The horn has NO patches on it which is totally rare in one of these.  This horn was most likely imported to the US as parts (due to the German occupation of Paris) and assembled here in New York City by one of Vincent Bach's apprentices,   Rapuano (although this cannot be confirmed).

We have stripped the old lacquer on the horn and didn't buff any of the  horn to preserve the horn's structural integrity.   There are a few small dents and dings on the horn (to be expected from a horn this age) but nothing serious.

This is  a very rare chance to grab one of T's favorites... he's only selling as he's paring the collection down due to the fact he's playing mostly cornet these days.

This horn is sold with NO case or mouthpiece
