The Holton TR395 Superbone combines all of the characteristics of a slide trombone with all of the advantages of a valve trombone. This would be an amazing instrument for brass players who perform Salsa music and want to play all those great Willie Colon parts on trombone and choose slide and/or valves.
It is very cool to have one of these in the shop. The Holton TR395 Superbone is a quite unique instrument. The Superbone was made famous by Maynard Ferguson (look up Superbone Meets The Bad Man). It features a 9" yellow brass bell. The sound is engaging, rich, and projects with great energy.
This one is in excellent shape. It does not have any major dings, pings, or dents. There is limited worn lacquer and only a few small scratches in the finish of the horn (check out the photos in the listing). The slide moves freely and the valves have excellent action. This is really great playing Superbone.
