Check out this Martin Committee trumpet that's just arrived here in the shop! This instrument needs no introduction, as many famous trumpet players have played on this model (Miles Davis, Dizzy Gillespie, Chet Baker, Don Fagerquist, the list goes on!). If you are looking for that classic small group jazz sound, look no further!
This horn is very good+ shape especially considering its vintage. There are signs of use (it's a classic horn after all!), a small dent in the back bell bow, some discoloration in the bell (not red rot), extensive lacquer wear, and some small surface pitting throughout. I think the valves may have been rebuilt at one point as the compression is very good considering the age. Beyond this however, it was a well cared for instrument that still has lots of life left in it! This Committee features a #2 bore. The slides move freely and valves move smoothly with great action and compression!
