Pre-Owned Bach Stradivarius Model C180 C Trumpet with #229 Bell in Silver Plate

Check out this lovely Bach Stradivarius C Trumpet! This instrument has the traditional Bach sound – the special richness, depth and ring you can access throughout all ranges and dynamics. The Bach C180 series trumpets are some of the best professional orchestral trumpets in the world. This horn features a #229 one-piece hand-hammered professional bell that produces a big, rich, slightly broader sound with great projection. The silver-plate finish provides a controlled brilliance to the overall sound. These features combined with a .462 large bore allow the player to produce a well-rounded sound well suited for all orchestral literature.

From Bach:

"This model is based on Vincent Bach’s 1955 “Chicago C” trumpet designs. It features a #229 one-piece lightweight hand hammered bell with French bead (flat rim) and a special 25CC mouthpipe. This model is only available in large-bore (.462”) and in silver plate. 

The serial number indicates that this horn was produced sometime in 2007. It has only had two owners, and has only been used on a few church services and concerts!

Despite some signs of use, this horn plays amazingly! There are 3 small dents on the bell stem, a small ping on the bell, and one small dent on the main tuning slide. There is also some plate wear around the contact points of the horn, notably on the 1st slide thumb saddle, around the 3rd slide ring, the valve block, and underneath the bell. There is also some minor scratching around the body of the horn, with a notable few on the bell next to the flare and near the Bach stamp (See pictures for details) This trumpet has good compression. The valves feel great when playing the horn and of course, it has a gorgeous tone!
