The Adams TB1: Tenor Trombone for Symphonic and Solo Performance
The Adams TB1 is a trombone that is fully handcrafted by the Adams Brass professionals. Adams master craftsmen have produced one of the richest sounding trombone bells available.The 1-piece hand-hammered bell is made with the same precision as all other Adams Brass instruments, combining true artisanal skills with modern improved techniques. The open feel, deepness, and richness in sound, in combination with a smooth and quick handslide action, make the TB1 ideal for both symphonic and solo performance.
This setup features an Adams TB1 Yellow Brass Bell (.60 gauge/thickness) has a classic trombone sound that is full-bodied and rich in tone. The pairing of the dual-bore slide (.562”/.547”) complements this bell allowing for a large, powerful, and controlled trombone sound (imagine playing Mahler 3 and being able to fill the entire hall with your sound without your tone becoming crass or brash). This is an ideal setup for orchestral playing or the trombonist who is seeking a robust trombone tone that has incredible depth of tone and color.
The Hagmann valve provides the player with a smooth transition between “open” and “trigger” trombone. It has a compact throw allowing for quick access to the trigger range which feels open and blows freely.
