This setup has the smaller of the two tuba rim sizes offered by AR but doesn't sacrifice depth of sound due to the deep C cup and larger backbore. The backbore is also interchangeable with anything on Warburton threads (most of the modern market) to fit your needs, but it works best with 8.4mm throat AR backbores.
