This bundle is for small bore trombone. All mouthpieces are small shank.
The Tom Crown Tenor Trombone Pixie Mute (Aluminum Straight Mute for Solo Jazz Playing) is a must have for any trombonists - especially if you are going to play Ellington. Paired with a plunger this is how trombonists, like the legendary Tricky "Sam" Nanton, achieve that "ya ya" sound. The Tom Crown pixie fits a little differently that some other brands as the end of the mute is a "bulb" shape and the corks are further up towards the end of the mute (so you do not have to shave these corks down to get the mute to fit in your bell in a position where you can use the plunger mute and close the plunger tightly against the bell).
