Yamaha YTR-6610S Eb Trumpet

Check out this very unique instrument that's recently come into the shop.

This horn was previously owned by Fred Mills, former member of the Canadian brass. Here we have a Yamaha YTR-6610S Eb Trumpet known for their brilliant sound and fantastic response and articulation. This one is uniquely outfitted with a Shepard's crook cornet bell that gives it a nice round sound fantastic for chamber work, solo, or brass band playing.Fred himself favored this bell configuration over the standard trumpet bell. It Does present some cosmetic blemishes primarily on the bell where it was removed and re-soldered. There are also some minor pings on the second valve slide. There is also some very light scratching around the horn body and what appears to be very early signs of red rot in the main tuning slide. Beyond this, it is in excellent playing condition and still looks great. Pick up this very cool instrument today!

From Yamaha:

"YAMAHA's high trumpets are distinguished by a brilliant sound, precise and clear articulation as well as excellent control of the high register. Although the instruments were originally designed specifically for baroque music, they are increasingly used by solo and orchestral musicians, especially for their accuracy in difficult passages, as well as their clear and lyrical sound."
