Blackburn Bb Trumpet - Hand Made in the U.S.A.

Here's a great new arrival to the shop, a  original  Cliff-made  Blackburn trumpet in silver plate with super cool gold trim and fancy buttons!

I personally LOVE this configuration.  The 313y25S  bell is very rare...  I'm not sure I have ever played a Blackburn trumpet with a yellow brass bell!  The 313 taper is the closest IMO  to a Bach 43 although this horn retains a bit more richness and core throughout.

This is a pre-owned horn so there are some signs of use.  The 313 bell  is an all-around taper with an excellent high range. The #19-348H  leadpipe included  is Blackburn's most popular leadpipe design, with a medium-dark tone and great response.  The three-digit suffix denotes the venturi of each leadpipe in thousandths of an inch. The H after the pipe indicates a heavy walled design.

The valve block is a medium-large bore Blackburn block. There's some wear and pitting at the contact points. There's a small dent/repair on the second valve slide crook and some evidence of bell dent removal in the bell but this horn is priced to sell given it's scarcity!

The bottom line with this horn is that it's a fantastic player!
