GREAT PLAYER! AWESOME TRUMPET!
Pre-owned Generation 1 Yamaha Bobby Shew YTR-8310Z Bb trumpet in great condition! These trumpets are currently discontinued so this is a great find! Compression on this instrument is fantastic as one would expect with a modern horn and the valve action is fast and smooth. All slides move smoothly and quickly as well. There are 7 barely noticeable pings in the bell flare but no signs of dent work or repair. No signs of redrot in the leadpipe or tuning slide. Silver plating is in good condition, with some very light scratching from typical use. There is one notable tiny scratch on the bottom tube of the main tuning slide. There is also some very minimal plate wear around the valve block. Even though this is an earlier generation 8310Z (circa 2009), it's in great shape and has a long life ahead of it. This horn would be the perfect backup option or a complement to a darker primary trumpet, or a great horn for those commercial gigs or outdoor situations where you don't want to risk your treasured Bb.

Check out this demo video comparing the Gen 1 and Gen 2 Yamaha Bobby Shew models (this particular horn was not used in the video). The Gen 1 may actually be a better match for your playing needs, at a very attractive price point!
