An amazing trumpet from Trent's personal collection, this AR Resonance Estrema was built for Russian jazz trumpeter Alex Sipiagin. The bell is raw bronze, and the horn is developing a nice patina. The trumpet comes with five threaded, interchangeable mouthpiece receivers to adjust the gap. The sound of this trumpet is extremely resonant and responsive. You will also experience an incredible fluidity of sound from the MAW valve block. This is a handmade piece of art and it won't last long in the shop now that it's finally for sale!
The only reason Trent is selling is because he's becoming a new AR dealer and wants to get more new horns in stock. This horn is a ridiculous instrument, one of the 10 best he has probably ever played.
The AR Resonance website calls it "bronze on steroids," and says:
"It's a Suprema on steroids! We use the same bell mandrel but the flare is oversized to that of a flugelhorn. The one in the photos is the very horn played by Alex Sipiagin, same model as Randy Brecker's. The ideal horn for jazz players who simply can't get enough of big sounding horns, it shines at the extremes. Extremely soft it whispers as a flugel, especially with a V shaped cup mouthpiece. At loud volumes it simply overpowers any other instrument in the room. The sonic range present in each note is so rich, you'll never want to put it down."
The trumpet is in great condition overall, but it does have a slight crease in the bell (on the player's right), see photos.
This trumpet is sold with no case or mouthpiece.
Please note that the weight listed is the shipping weight, not the actual weight of the trumpet.
