Here we have a classic Olds Recording trumpet! These were very popular back in the day, and are still considered by many to be one of the coolest trumpets ever built! It is a 'balanced' trumpet, meaning the valve block is in the center of the instrument. This gives the horn a more balanced hold in the player's hand. In addition, it also has an ergonomic valve block (the 2nd valve is slightly offset, so it follows the contour of your fingers). It also features a 3rd slide trigger. This one has a nickel silver leadpipe (which will never rot). It has a few dings on the bell tail, and some on the lower tuning slide knuckle. It would benefit from a valve rebuild, but does play nicely with a thicker valve oil. All in all, it is a solid trumpet. One of the classics, perfect for a collector or pro player!
